In the late 1970s, organic enthusiasts gathered in Ojai, California to farm a 75-acre citrus ranch and develop markets for organic and biodynamically grown food products. The founders of Cafe Altura began trading with (and learning from) a 20-year old organic coffee farm in Chiapas, Mexico. Today, Cafe Altura continues this tradition of international partnerships to bring their customers new and exciting organic coffees from around the world.
